Our opening today (3rd December) was our last before closing for the winter.
Over the winter we will be assembling some new displays for our reopening in the spring of 2023.

The Town Crier’s parade begins in Boroughfields at 10:30am.
A parade takes place at 10:30 from Boroughfields going to outside the Town Hall in the High Street for 11:00am.
The competition will feature Town Criers from across the country.
Please be aware that we will be closed this Saturday. We reopen again the following Saturday 11th June.

Excitement at the museum last Saturday 7th May!
After nearly 2 years shut we have now reopened. Thanks to our volunteers for all their hard work in cleaning, organising and making our new displays. Thanks as well to the Fire Brigade, Wannell family for their fire engines and Steve Walls (Mayor) and Owen Collier (Town Crier). Finally thanks to all our visitors. We hope you enjoyed our new displays.
We will be open Saturdays for the moment but hope to extend to Wednesday opening later in the year.
We nearly ready to reopen. Final touches are being made to our displays.
The Mayor will conduct our reopening on 7th May at 10:00. On this day we will have extended hours 10:00 – 13:00.
We will maintain social distancing the museum to keep both visitors and volunteers safe.
